Can I wash my comforter and shams?
For best results, we recommend that you dry clean your comforters/quilts. However, with appropriate care, they can be machine washed and dried. For best results, use a front loading washing machine with a tumbling action. Do not use an agitator or spin cycle, as they can damage the hand stitching. Use cold water and gentle soap on a gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry separately on a low setting. Remove promptly. Do not line dry or wring.
Our Tilonia table linens may be machine washed using conventional techniques.
What's a fair trade product?
Fair trade ensures that the artisans that make a product, rather than a manufacturer or middleman, profits from the skill and labor of the artisan. Fair trade products are made using traditional crafts and artistry. By producing a fair trade product, an artisan is able to rise above poverty through his or her own work and skill. Our beautiful hand-crafted products are produces by artisans in India that belong to cooperatives that are members of the Fair Trade Federation.
